Gene expression profiles and western blot analysis of PhaC2 Ps s in recombinant E. coli harboring pET-based plasmids. (a) The decay profiles of the transcripts of phaC2 Ps O and phaC2 Ps OH determined by quantitative RT-PCR. After adding rifampicin and incubating for 1 min, samples were iced at different timed intervals. The relevant abundances of mRNA compared to the ompA mRNA abundance were determined by qPCR, and the y axis showed the percentages of the remaining mRNA at timed intervals. Experiments were carried out in triplicate. (b) Western blot analysis of the PHA synthase PhaC2Ps expressed in recombinant E. coli harboring pET-based plasmids.
